Life is always changing and if you have renters, so are theirs. Did you know that some changes could impact your fire insurance policy and coverage? It’s up to you to let your agent know about these changes so they can help keep you properly protected. We’ve put together a list to help you review your policy and trigger a call or email to your agent if needed. Please use the checklist below and alert me if any of the below might affect you:

-The usage of this home has changed in any way (for example: used to be a long-term rental and is now being used for short term or used to be a second home and is now being rented, etc.).

– Renters have a dog. Need to screen the breed and if there is aggressive history

– You added a pool, spa, or solar panels

– Purchased a golf cart

– Remodeled or upgraded the property

– Changed title or ownership in any way such as adding a Trust to the title, etc.

We hope this was helpful. Please reach out to your agent with any questions you may have.
